Managing the stressors that life throws at us can be challenging! The path through life is rarely smooth, and we all navigate the terrain in our own, unique ways. Often, we have the tools to manage the obstacles on our own; other times, that path is wide enough to allow support from others as we move forward. Still other times, we can’t even find the path! I strive to promote an environment in which clients feel safe to share experiences at their own pace and without judgment. I believe that a genuine approach, supported by evidenced-based treatment models, cultivates the rapport necessary to promote positive change.
I assist adolescents, adults, and families in gaining an understanding of how trauma and daily stress may manifest in typical presentations such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and other modalities.
I utilize a number of approaches to increase clients’ abilities to manage stressors and improve functioning. The therapeutic relationship is a special partnership, and finding the right fit with a therapist can be challenging. If you decide that giving me a call may be worthwhile, I look forward to working with you to help you achieve your goals.
